Valencia, 1970. He is Tenured University Professor at the University of Castilla-La Mancha since 2001 with accreditation to the Full University Professors body since February 2012. Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Analysis and Finances, and responsible of the area of Financial Economy since September 2011. Before his incorporation to the UCLM he was trainee lecturer at the Universitat Jaume I of Castellón and research grantholder at the Universitat de València. Coordinator at the UCLM of the interuniversity official doctoral programmes in Banking and Quantitative Finance (on extinction) and Finances and Quantitative Economics, as well as member of the academic committee of the official doctoral programme in Economics and Business. Doctor in Economics and Business Sciences by the Universitat de València. Main researcher of the UCLM Financial Markets group, and of three national research projects of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and four regional projects of the Castilla-La Mancha Community Council. His research lines have focused on the study of the fixed income: time structure of the types of interest, fixed income markets, risk of insolvency, liquidity and interest risk management. This activity has also been developed as a researcher in different centres such as the Universidad Nacional de Entre Ríos, ISMA Center of the University of Reading, Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, and Università degli studi di Trieste.
