Burjassot campus has held the first of four sessions of the “Benvinguda a la Universitat” 2023 (University’s welcome sessions), each one celebrated in a different campus of the Universitat de València. In a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, university services and associations, as well as the student groups, have informed about the initiatives offered during the 2023 2024 academic year. These include the proposals of participation in European projects through Forthem and Erasmus+, language courses, sport activities, cultural proposals, volunteering, mentorship, grants (including travel grants), complementary training, support for people with disabilities and facing harassment and discrimination, and several more.
Students of the Faculties of Mathematical Science, Physics, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biological Sciences and of ETSE have visited the information booths of their interest placed at the central square of the campus. While enjoying the relax zone in front of the UV Natural History Museum, they were offered some horchata, with ambient music by Solstice Music.
The “Benvinguda a la Universitat” will continue on Thursday, 19 October, in the campus of Els Tarongers, in the garden zone between the Faculty of Law and Ramon Llull street. Students of the Faculties of Teacher Training, Social Sciences, Law and Economics will have the opportunity to enjoy a similar event and to get informed and ask questions about the services and participation offers that are available at the Universitat de València, which will allow them to enrich their university experience.
The “Benvinguda a la Universitat”, organized by the Student Council Branch through the SeDi Information and Promotion Service, is a meeting point for the university community and an opportunity to make contact with other students and integrate into university life.
Some entities that participated in Burjassot campus were the Languages Centre of the UV, Diversitats, Forthem and Erasmus+ (The International Relations and Cooperation Service), La Llibreria de la Universitat, UV Natural History Museum, University Culture Service, Sports Service, SeDi Information and Promotion Service, Libraries and Documentation Service, Language Service, Equality Unit, UVdisability, UVempren, Uvjob and UVsustainability. The Student Council (AGE) has also participated, as well as the following associations and student groups: Arrels del canvi, Association of Astronomy of the UV, Bloc d’Estudiants Agermanats (BEA), Biomedical Research Congress (CIB), SAÓ-UV, Tuna Femenina (feminine student music group) of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and Unió d’Estudiants Valencians.
