Electoral calendar published

The Electoral Commission has approved the Election Calendar to the Universitat’s principal that will take place on 1st March 2022.
The Governing Council, in accordance with the Statutes of the Universitat de València, and once the University Senate had been completely renewed, called elections last 13th December to the principal for the 1st March.

Last 20th December the Electoral Commission, in accordance with the provisions of the regulations governing this process, approved the Election Calendar to principal of the Universitat de València. It was also mailed to all the university community last 27th December.
According to this calendar, the deadline for the nomination period will be on 20th January 2022; the provisional electoral list will be published on 3rd February, with a period for complaints until 8th February.
The electoral campaign will begin on 14th February and end 14 days later. During this period, on 15th February, the Senate meeting will take place for the presentation and discussion of candidates and programmes.
Voting will take place on 1st March from 10:00 to 18:00.
If no candidate obtains the absolute majority of the weighted votes, a second ballot will be held between the two candidatures that had obtained the most weighted votes in the first voting, according to the article 20.9 of the General Electoral Regulations of the Universitat de València.
This voting, if held, would take place on 10th March.
