The first session of the Autonomous University Sports Championship (CADU) took place on 5 February, an event where the Universitat de València stood out, consolidating itself as one of the strongest sports institutions of the contest. The facilities of the Universitat de València, located on the Blasco Ibáñez campus, held the football, indoor football, and basketball matches. Furthermore, the volleyball, handball, paddle tennis, and tennis teams played as visiting teams at the facilities of the UPV.

This year, varsity sports have faced an additional challenge due to circumstances stemming from the DANA, which not only did it make training difficult, but also led to an adjustment in the format of competitions. In spite of adversities, our athletes and trainers demonstrated great resilience and commitment. From UVsports, we want to congratulate them for their determination and effort in each discipline. The preparation and dedication demonstrated in the first session reflect the commitment our university has with sports and competitive excellence, beyond any difficulties.
