The Universitat de València concluded its participation at the University Spanish Championship (CEU), held in various Andalusian universities with a total of 46 medals: 14 gold, 15 silver and 17 bronze.
The Valencian delegation has competed in a total of 20 disciplines, with teams and sportsmen and sportswomen participating in an edition that concluded with the rowing competition, in which the Universitat was not able to reach the podium.
Per categories, we highlight the results in taekwondo with 5 gold, one silver and 2 bronze medals. The two gold and the two silver medals in cross country running also standout, as well as, two gold and one bronze medals in karate.
In fencing, the Universitat added one gold, one silver and one bronze medals, while in tennis achieved one gold and two silver medals; and in 3x3 basketball achieved one gold medal. In athletics, the medal display expanded with three silver and four bronze medals, and in swimming with three silver medals.
Moreover, there were medals in chess (one gold and one silver), wrestling (one silver and four bronze), judo (one silver), handball (one silver), volleyball (one silver), paddle tennis (one bronze), archery (one bronze) and equestrianism (on bronze).
Regarding the classification for universities, the Universitat de València got a silver medal in cross country running, and bronze in karate and tennis.
Rowing
The 2026 University Spanish Championship (CEU) of Rowing was held from 15 to 17 May at the CEAR La Cartuja of Seville. This discipline ended the championships developed in various Andalusian univeristies. This edition features a high level and participation. On this date, the team of the Universitat de València got 8 points, positioning itself at the 17th spot in the scoring overview lead by the Universitat de Girona. The Valencian expedition has competed in various playoffs in university categories. The athletes of the championship were Josep Miquel Estruch and Sergejs Markelovs who competed in the double male category; and Estruch alongside Esther Márquez, Juan Martínez and Laia Montagud competed in the mixed 4 category.
