With a 5km route, the marathon is made for people of all ages, from children to adults, who will be able to participate either running or walking. A non-competitive marathon, whose main goal is to increase awareness about the resistance to antibiotics, a global challenge that affects public health.
This activity is part of the Resistance to Antibiotics National Plan (PRAN) and it will take place on Sunday, 10 November 2024 at 9am. Both the exit and the goal will be located in front of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences, in the Street Hernán Cortés in Burjassot. The registration is free and can be done through the portal www.megustacorrer.com. The registration period will finish on Wednesday, 6 November at 2pm. What's more, the marathon will count with a control chip software, assuring a comfortable and safe experience for the participants.
The collection of the number will be available in the next locations and timetables:
- Concierge desk of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, at Blasco Ibáñez Campus, 15), on Thursday 7 November, from 10am to 2pm and from 4pm to 8pm.
- Concierge desk of the Faculty of Pharmacy, at the Burjassot Campus (15 Hernán Cortés St.) on Thursday, 7 November, from 10am to 2pm and from 4pm to 8pm.
- It will also be possible to collect them the day of the marathon, on Sunday, 10 November, in the Faculty of Pharmacy hall, between 8am and 8:30am.
‘Corre Sin Resistencias’ is not only a sports event, but an opportunity to think about the resistance to antibiotics problem and the individual responsibility on its correct use. The Universitat de València encourages all the community, from the youngest to the oldest, to come to this sport session with an educative and awareness purpose.
