The University of Valencia celebrates the Physical Activity Day

The World Physical Activity Day is celebrated each year on 6 april. This year, due to Holy Thursday, the celebration at the University of Valencia, the Tarongers, Blasco Ibáñez and Burjassot campuses are bringing the celebration forward to Sunday 4 April with activities open to the public.

The University of Valencia is celebrating Physical Activity Day on Sunday 4 April with physical and sporting activities organised by UVesports in the framework of Uniesport, that lead the universities of the CV with the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation.

The commemoration of this day aims to promote physical activity and the diffusion of sporting values, with the main objective of making the population aware of the importance of practising sporting activities regularly and systematically in order to improve health and acquire good lifestyle habits.

To mark this day, UVesports is organising an open day on 4 April that includes the practice of different sporting activities on each of the campuses of the University of Valencia.

The Tarongers Campus offers beach volleyball, paddle tennis, aerogap, aerotonic, hiit, archery, funky and hip-hop; the Blasco Ibáñez Campus offers track volleyball, 7-a-side football, 3x3 basketball, kendo, dance, cubbá, bachata, salsa and yoga; and the Burjassot Campus will offer table tennis, 7-a-side football, running school, rugby belt, muscle building, gymnastics, circuit training, aerogap and chikung.
