This annual meeting, to be held on 23 and 24 February 2023 at the UV, will be a forum for debate among professionals in education, physical activity and sport for people with disabilities.

The Principal of the Universitat de València, Mª Vicenta Mestre, and the Director of Programmes with Universities and Promotion of Young Talent of the ONCE Foundation, Isabel Martínez Lozano, signed on Monday 29 November a specific collaboration agreement for the organisation of the 4th National Seminar on Inclusive Sport which also develops a framework agreement signed by the two entities last July.

The purpose of this agreement is to establish a stable framework of collaboration between the ONCE Foundation and the UV in different lines of action, aimed at improving equal opportunities, universal accessibility, inclusion and non-discrimination of all people with disabilities within the university community, also promoting socially responsible public procurement.

The 4th National Seminar on Inclusive Sport aims to bring together a wide range of specialists in Adapted Physical Activity and Sport for People with Disabilities. It is aimed especially at officials and technicians from administrations, sports federations, foundations and associations, lecturers and students related to adapted physical activity, Paralympic sport and inclusive sport.

The main purpose of this seminar is to respond to the challenges in relation to the sports practice by people with disabilities, in line with article 30.5 of the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which advocates “participating on equal terms with others in recreational, leisure and sports activities”.
