Llicenciat (former Spanish Undergraduate Degree) in Physics Sciences June 1982 Universitat de València.

Teaching Experience:

6 five-year periods of teaching experience at the Universitat de València recognised. 

Research lines and research experience:

  • 4 six year periods recognised by the CNEAI.
  • Member of the Assessment Committee of the Valencian Agency of Assessment and prospective in the field of “experimental sciences”. Since September 2008. Until September 2013.
  • Characterisation of the Cultural Heritage materials through EDXRF, Raman spectrometry, visible spectrophotometry, XRD, SEM-EDX microscopy and other physico-chemical techniques.
  • Responsible of the the Archaeometry Unit from ICMUV (Institute of Material Sciences of the UV).
  • Secretary of the Archaeometry Applied to the Conservation of the Cultural Heritage Society (SAPaC).
  • Archaeometric research collaborating with Departments of the Faculty of Geography and History of the Universitat de València, the Instituto per le Tecnologie Applicate ai Beni Culturali (Italy), the Università di Sassari, the Università di Roma and  with different entities, such as: the González Martí National Museum of Ceramics and Sumptuary Arts of Valencia, the Valencian Institute for the Conservation and Restoration, the Prehistory Museum of Valencia and the Spanish Cultural Heritage Institute, among other entities related to the management and protection of the tangible cultural heritage.
  • Manager of the Environmental Radioactivity Laboratory of the Universitat de València and of agreements and contracts with public and private institutions related to the control and environmental radioactivity measuring, among which are really important the programme of Environmental Radiological Surveillance (Dense Network of Sampling Stations) supported by the Nuclear Safety Council.
  • Author/co-author of 70 publications in scientific journals and of around one hundred contributions to national and international conferences.
