Biography

Castellón de la Plana 1954. Graduated in Philosophy and Literature from the Universitat de València (1976) and doctor also from that university in 1987. She is tenured professor of the department of Prehistory and Archaeology since 1991. She focused her research on the Iberian culture with special interest in ceramics and the territorial organisation. Since 2004 she organises together with the Prehistory Museum of Valencia and the Caudete de las Fuentes City Hall the Kelin open day, to spread the Iberian culture. She has been director or co-director for many excavations such as El Puntal dels Llops (Olocau) and Kelin (Caudete de las Fuentes), as well as running exploration campaigns in Camp de Túria and Requena-Utiel. The fieldworks have been complemented by her participation and directions of research projects on territorial organisation, iconography, flora, fauna and objects formed in hard materials from animal sources. Apart from numerous publications, she has also directed or co-directed doctoral theses related to Iberian culture.
