963864079Castelló de la Plana, 1957. Since 1997 he is tenured professor of the Department of Prehistory and Archaeology. Graduated in Geography and History and doctor in History from the Universitat de València. His research activity focuses on the study of Classical Archaeology, where he has centred his task in the epigraphy, sculpture, architecture, rural landscapes and history of the Valencian archaeology studies. He is Extraordinary Doctorate Award (1996) and received in 1995 the Puig Cadafalch Prize of the Institut d’Estudis Catalans. He has been collaborator of the project Tabula Imperii Romani (International Union of Academies - CSIC), he is member of the scientific committee of the Corpus Signorum Imperii Romani (CSIR)-Spain and is part of the editorial board of different archaeology journals.He has participated in different research projects supported by different administrations, he has directed and co-directed different excavations in Valencian sites and between the years 2001 and 2009 he has directed the research project on the Roman city of Lesera (Forcall, els Ports de Morella).
