Full university professor of Psychology and founder member of the University Institute for Women Studies, of the Universitat de València (Spain), of which she is director since September 2010.
Doctorate in Pedagogy since 1978 and visiting lecturer from Keele University (United Kingdom) in 1989. She has coordinated several research projects on gender psychology, co-education and psycho-professional development of women. Currently she is the director of the project ‘Divers@: Genero y Diversidad’ (Divers@:Gender and Diversity) of the EQUAL Community Initiative, as well as the research project ‘Rompiendo el Techo de Cristal: los beneficios de la diversidad de género en los equipos directivos’ (Breaking the Crystal Ceiling: the Benefits of Gender Diversity in Management Teams) within the Sectorial Programme of Women and Gender Studies. Some of her most highlighted publications are ‘Psicología del Genero’ (Gender Psychology), ‘Mujeres Directivas:Promoción profesinal en España y el Reino Unido’ (Women in Management: Profesisonal Promotion in Spain and in the United Kingdom) and articles about gender stereotypes and work organisation.
