Biography

Pre-doctoral intern (Vali+d Programme of pre-doctoral aids bestowed by the Valencian Department of Education, Culture and Sports)

Graduated in History by the Universitat de València and holder of a Master’s Degree in Hispanic History and Identities in the Western Mediterranean: from the 15th to the 19th Century.

She is currently developing her doctoral theses (directed by doctors Mónica Bolufer Peruga and Mª Luz López Terrada) in the field of the Doctoral programme in Geography and History from the Prehistory to the Modern Age (Modern History specialisation), and participated in the project: “Constructions of the self: narrations and representations of the modern subject between the individual and the collective, 17th to 19th Centuries” (HAR2014-53802P).

Her research centres on saints as a resource in Valencia during the 17th and 18th Centuries as an extra-academic medical practice as well as in popular religions and the differences in the construction of feminine and masculine sanctity.
