“La esperanza, pese a todo” (Hope, despite everything)
Presentation and discussion with Émile Bravo
The French author Émile Bravo signed with the “Diary of a naive” a masterful rewriting of the origins of one of the icons of the Franco-Belgian comic, Spirou. Now the continuation of that well-known album is published to delve into the historical period of the Nazi occupation of Belgium, which Bravo takes advantage of to make a deep and lucid reflection on society in extreme situations and to make a tribute to all the Franco-Belgian comic, from Tintin to Spirou. In this talk we are not only talking about his work in Spirou, but also about his ideas about comics and creation.
