The old Shukichi Hirayama and his wife Tomiko live on a small island. Although they don’t like the city life, they decide to go to Tokio for a few days with their sons and daughter. The older son is the director of a hospital; the middle one is the owner of a beauty salon, and the smaller is theatre actor. The parents get excited because they see that their children thrive despite they are obsessed with work. After a while in the city, they realized that this lifestyle is not for them.
