‘Valencian Airfields’ at the Joaquín Sorolla station
The exhibition ‘Valencian Airfields of the Civil War’ will be held at the Exhibition Hall of the Joaquín Sorolla Adif Station in València. The inauguration will take place on 21 December at 12.30 p.m. and will be open to the public until the 13 January 2019 at regular opening hours of the station.
This exhibition, organised by the Valencian Department for Treasury, Public Works and Integration of the Territory, through the Demetrio Ribes Chair, presents these airfields and their elements –command and guard posts, shelters, powder kegs...– like a web for territory defence, apart from placing them in their historical context by means of the bombings and the air war, the apparatus and the aviators, the industrial production, the cartography or the culture, the art and the memory that surrounds them.
