On 3 December, the DAM Chair of Integral Management and Recovery of Residual Water Resources of the Universitat de València celebrates the 2nd Scientific-Technical Conference on the Use of Aastewater as a Source of Resources. The appointment will be in the Assembly Hall of the University–Business Foundation ADEIT in Valencia.

The Vice-Principal for Innovation and Transfer, M. Dolores Real, the head of R&D&I of the Mediterranean Water Purification Company, Laura Pastor, and Alberto Bouzas, Director of the DAM Chair will participate in the opening ceremony of the conference.

The use of treated wastewater is a basic pillar to promote more rational use of water. However, wastewater can be conceived not only as a source of water but also as a source of other resources such as energy, nutrients and other value-added products. This approach is part of the Circular Economy approaches that encourage a more sustainable use of natural resources.

The day will feature experts in Circular Economy, Technology Transfer and Artificial Intelligence in the water sector. Also, on this day, reference centers in the research and treatment of urban and industrial wastewater such as IDAEA-CSIC, CIEMAT, ITQ, ICRA, University of Seville, Università di Verona and Universitat Politècnica de València will review different technological alternatives for treatment and recovery of wastewater resources.

The event is free of charge and is aimed at public entities, professionals in the water purification sector, researchers and university students related to the treatment of wastewater and the recovery of the resources included in it.  Click here for additional information link.
