27th September is the official day set in the United Nations calendar to highlight the social, cultural, political and economic value of tourism. On the occasion of this celebration, the Faculty of Economics will once again join World Tourism Day with a new edition of forTUR_VLC, Tourism Forum.

The Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València offers the Degree in Tourism, the Double Degree in Tourism and Business Management and Administration and the Master’s Degree in Tourism Management and Planning. The Institute of International Economics offers a PhD in International Economics and Tourism. In this sense, there is a valuable group of lecturers and researchers in the tourism sector, from disciplines as varied as economics, marketing and new technologies, to name but a few. This is why we consider ourselves to be an ideal terrain from which to provide academic solvency to reflections on tourism.

The Tourism Forum aims to achieve two objectives:

• To consolidate the UV-FdE and specifically the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies in Tourism as an academic reference within the sector.
• To introduce students to the most relevant companies and institutions in the tourism sector, as well as to involve them in the most recent areas of reflection and research.

forTUR_VLC has effectively become a reference point in the academic field of tourism in our territory. The event brings together researchers, companies, institutions and students interested in the tourism sector.
