The Universitat de València, within the programme EMPREN + by the Office of the Vice-principal for Research and Science Policy has opened the period to participate in the fourth edition of the 5U-CV START-UP CONTEST, an initiative aimed to promote the innovation culture between university members and destined to stimulate both business projects and companies. The proposals can be submitted until 4 September 2017.

This contest is developed concurrently in 5 public universities within the framework of the Innovative Entrepreneurs’ Campus programme, which is funded by the Valencian Department for Sustainable Economics, Productive Sectors, Trade and Work. The objective is to generate new business projects, developing the entrepreneurial capacities and promoting innovation culture in the Valencian university field.

The competition, which establishes the categories of Start-up (addressed to companies that are at least 1 year old and at most 4 years old) and Start-up Junior (addressed to any business project that is not constituted as a company yet or to Pymes constituted with a maximum age of 1 year), will deliver a total of 20,250 euros in prizes among the winners of the five public universities.
