Agenda UV

The Lifelong Learning Service and Educational Innovation (SFPIE) of the Universitat de València offers this open online course for members of the Universitat and general public; the course can be accessed via the international platform MiríadaX for MOOC courses. Participants will have the chance to access all content for free, including evaluation tests.

The course will begin on 4 February 2019 and it will last 9 weeks. It is addressed to new students of the university who have interest in subjects of the same topic. It can also be useful for those people who want to learn mathematics and statistics to have the opportunity to interpret and work with the data we are surrounded with.

This course has been fostered by Isabel López and Antonia Ivars, professors of the Department of Mathematics for Business and Economy of the Faculty of Economics; it is within the frame of the MOOC courses calls of SFPIE. The production of the course’s videos has been handled by the technicians at the Educative Innovation Unit of SFPIE and the recording has been made at their facilities.

The cours is hosted by MiríadaX, the most known and disseminative platform of the Spanish and American societies thanks to an agreement between the Universitat de València and the platform itself, so that the MOOC of this university are accessible to everyone. Students who successfully complete the course will get a certificate.

The videos of the course are also available on UV-SFPIE's YouTube channel, specifically on a playlist called "MOOC: Matemáticas y Estadística: entiéndelas, úsalas".
