The Hall of the Wall in Principal Peset Hall of Residence hosts the exhibition #EqualWorkEqualRights . On the sexual division of labour and the education of the artist Mau Monleón, a proposal produced in collaboration with young students living in the Colegio Mayor.

#EqualWorkEqualRights. On the sexual division of work and education is a project curated by Alba Braza and produced by the Colegio Mayor Rector Peset of the Universitat de València, which addresses from a gender perspective one of the key research projects in the work of Mau Monleón, deepen into how it affects personally and socially gender inequality today, from the local to the global, and analyze structural gender violence.

The work is based on the life and future dreams of a series of students of different nationalities living in the Colegio Mayor Rector Peset. From an interview with each participant, a whole device is generated that visualizes through different languages, the desires, aspirations and opposing limits in real life of each one of the people, according to their country and culture of origin as well as to feminist economic criteria.

Thus, the path of # EqualWorkEqualRights. On the sexual division of work and education begins outside the exhibition hall, occupying the windows of the main façade of the building, appealing to passers-by with a language of social campaigning, and continues inside the building, placing part of the series housed in the hall in transit places. Likewise, the exhibition is open to be continued in the virtual space as it invites the public to become an active agent by questioning their personal situation and social context, what are or were their dreams and what or who put limits on them.
