Imagine to live in the 30's, surrounded by clubs with an effervescent atmospher where the swing sounds, but only in a masculine atmosphere. How many were the obstacles to overcome of those who wanted to make a place for themselves in the Jazz of the time? Little by little the scene was filled with orchestras of women, arriving the definitive conquest when some managed to enter the groups only of men, representing separated papers of the decorative thing or of the vocal interpretation.

The performance of Eva Romero, accompanied on this occasion by Iván Cebrián and César Cortés, aims to transport us to that moment in time and pay tribute to women like the pianist Mary Lou Williams, thanks to whom the way was opened for the rest of the jazz performers and those who have to be placed in the place that corresponds to them.

The concert 'Estándard d'elles' is part of 'Cromàtic jazz', the title of this year's edition of the jazz cycle of the Botànic, full of nuances and vibrant rhythms, within which we have to let ourselves be drawn and feel the enchanting and unique synaesthesia that invades those who listen to music next to a garden.
