In this webinar, the journalists Joan Carles Martí (Levante-EMV) and Carlos Garsán (Valencia Plaza) will debate on the different aspects and key factors of a speciality that has always claimed its place in the field of information: cultural journalism. Although theatres, libraries or exhibition halls were closed, the lockdown couldn’t get in the way of culture. In fact, it’s the exact opposite: it found new ways of reaching us. Institutions and individuals promoted countless cultural initiatives, movie releases reached digital platforms and podcasts livened up an unusual quarantine. Culture materialises in all its forms and journalism is always there to improve its senses, look at reality and find the best way to explain it to us. Magda Ruiz, cultural journalist of the Universitat de València, will be the moderator of the webinar.
