Rincón de Ademuz is part of the Universitat de València’s network of Seasonal Universities, a programme promoted by the Vice-Rectorate for Territorial Projection and Society, present in 20 towns in Valencia. This year we present the 4th edition of the Seasonal University of Rincón de Ademuz (UERA), one of the great academic initiatives of the Chair for Citizen Engagement and Valencian Landscapes, the result of close collaboration between the Universitat de València, the Mancomunidad del Rincón de Ademuz, the Diputación de Valencia (Valencia Provincial Council) and Caixa Popular.

Under the slogan ‘Planning and management of landscapes and territory; local development and welfare’, this fourth edition of the UERA is presented as a new opportunity to suggest an interesting training day focused on territorial and landscape planning as a technique and procedure to lay the foundations for the participative development of the comarca. The aim of this event is to transmit that the territory and its landscape are a collective responsibility and a common project. In this context, the UERA is seen as a great opportunity to present to the citizens the Rincón de Ademuz Territorial Action Plan, an instrument of Valencian territorial policy whose main objective is to propose the integral structural planning of the Rincón territory, focusing on the definition of green infrastructure and landscape management; and promoting socio-economic development and collaboration between municipalities in order to achieve a more resilient territory.

The Chair for Citizen Engagement and Valencian Landscapes is an academic platform and the result of the collaboration between the Conselleria of Territorial Policy, Public Works and Mobility, and the Universitat de València. The Chair is organising this activity in collaboration with the Vice-Rectorate for Territorial Projection and Society, in order to promote the training of all those people who want to train, broaden their CV and acquire new skills and abilities in their professional and personal environment.

Given the public nature of the Universitat de València, registration on the Seasonal University of Rincón de Ademuz is free (link to registration). A fourth edition that, given the current situation, will be held in online format.
