The Chair for Citizen Participation and Valencian Countryside of the Universitat de València, together with Vice-principal of Society and Territorial Projection, organise the second edition of this successful seminar, which is a product of the tight collaboration with the Valencian Department for Housing, Public Works and Integration of the National Territory and the Centre for the Knowledge of Countryside.

This workshop aims to be a common ground to professors, students and citizens interested in the latest developments in countryside matters and its management but also a common ground to reflect on their involvement and direct impact to countryside.

This year, it has the title of: “Countryside and citizen involvement” and it will be focused on stressing the relevance of citizenship involvement in countryside matters: “It is not always easy to involve citizens in countryside and territory management. Even though we as a society have advanced to territorial governance, we must not forget to encourage involvement in territorial planning.”

This is a free and open-to-the-public initiative with the collaboration of experts of the Universitat de València and experts in countryside matters.

The Universitat de València and the Valencian Government, committed to Valencian society and countryside, promote this academic movement, linked with training, research and transfer of knowledge. This time it will be in the reference place for Valencian cultural heritage: the Faculty of Geography and History of the Universitat de València.
