Description:

The Botanical Garden of the Universitat de València hosts “Women and Science in the Botanical Garden” from 12th to 15th February. It is a conference in which women who are experts in different fields will speak about former and current science conducted by women. They will debate on how to fight against the gender gap in Science.

The series “Women and Science in the Botanical Garden” includes informative talks, a panel of discussion and a scientific theatrical performance for children and families. It is organised in collaboration with Física del Grel. Some of the proposals of the series are recovering scientific figures lost in history, show their achievements, give voice to the current scientific referents, point out the barriers that restrict women to access science and provide solutions. These activities aim to inspire present and future generations and support the employment of women in the scientific world.
