Archaelogical training day in Chelva
The aqueduct of Peña Cortada, still wrapped in the mystery of its ultimate goal is not only the best preserved example of Roman hydraulic engineering in our lands but it is also one of the key elements of Valencian archaeology. In recent years several works which have allowed a better understanding of its technical characteristics and threats which endanger its physical integrity have appeared. But it is still necessary to plan both future interventions in its structure and environment and in its optimization as an important asset in the economy of the region in which is located. This conference organised by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation of the University of Valencia and the City Council of Chelva, in collaboration with IMELSA, focus on these initiatives.
