This exhibition is hosted by the Botanical Garden of the Universitat de València and displays the last creative decade of the Valencian artist Cáliz Pallarés with an international career, and where we can find her particular vision of the vegetal universe. Along her work, Pallarés has shown a genuine interest for nature: trees, palm trees, wineries, landscapes… The relationship with the environment is a constant in her painting and engraving works. The reiteration of the elements is a type of light, background, shadows and brilliance test that enables her to research and to create an expressively personal Nature, as Isabel Bilbao adequately comments.

Pallarés’ proposal gathers 59 painting pieces, engraving pieces and a sculptural installation with natural strains, in which she has experimented as serigraph, xylography and etching.

The exhibition Natura mediterrània. Paisatges i vegetació can be visited until the 26th of May in the Hort de Tramoieres room of the Botanical Garden of the Universitat de València.
