Llíria is part of the Universitat de València's network of Seasonal Universities, a programme promoted by the Vice-Rectorate for Territorial Projection and Society, present in 20 towns in Valencia. This year we present the 3rd EDITION OF THE SEASONAL UNIVERSITY OF LLÍRIA, the result of close collaboration between the Universitat de València, the Llíria Town Council, the Diputación de Valencia (Valencia Provincial Council) and Caixa Popular.

At this time of uncertainty, the Autumn University is consolidated in Llíria as a meeting point for teachers, professionals, students and citizens of the town and its surrounding area. It is a free initiative open to the public, with the participation of teachers from the Universitat de València and local specialists working on the musical art, which is so present in Llíria. This afternoon, the conference entitled ‘Music as an interdisciplinary educational instrument’ will discuss the educational possibilities of music in schools and high schools.

The Universitat de València, faithful to its commitment to the local Valencian territory and society, will once again be present in Llíria, providing an open space for debate and knowledge transfer. An initiative that is consolidated every year and that shows the interest of the citizens in approaching musical art from the multiple perspectives that it offers.

The exceptional sanitary measures that have been adopted for the holding of this conference require prior registration (link to registration), which is totally free due to the public nature of the Universitat de València. Once registered, the conference can be attended in person (until the capacity of the Multipurpose Centre's Conference Room is reached, which is limited by COVID regulations); or in online format, through the following link that will be enabled minutes before the start of the conference (link to streaming). In addition, an assistance certificate will be issued to all those registered.
