The CAPGEMINI-UV Chair for Innovation in Software Development at the Universitat de València organizes a workshop dedicated to testing and continuous software integration, which will be held on next Thursday, December 5, between 12.00 and 17.00, in the classroom 1.0.1 of the School of Engineering (ETSE-UV).

The speaker of this activity will be Alejo López, who currently serves as a Senior Consultant in Capgemini and has more than 18 years of professional career. It is a four-hour workshop divided into two sessions. The first two-hour session, which will be at 12.00, focuses on understanding what the continuous integration of software consists of, using automated software tests, and how this process is carried out in Capgemini. The second two-hour ession, which will be at 15.00, focuses on performing various practices on the contents presented in the first part.

The contents that will be discussed in the workshop include introduction to testing, review of test types, approaches, good practices, methodologies and tools and introduction to DevOps through continuous integration.

The CAPGEMINI-UV Chair is dedicated to training, cultural, research and university extension activities such as lectures, conferences and scholarships oriented towards knowledge and the permanent dissemination of innovation, agility and quality in software development.  It also aims to establish a link over time to help train and prepare students to face the labour market.
