1750 2001

This 18th century building is located in no. 4 at Cisneros Square. The asset was probably the result of joining several medieval houses. It has a restrained and majestic appearance, especially in the main stoned façade that holds a historical heraldic crest.

It was built in La Seu, an historical neighbourhood protected within the Old City. It was acquired by the Universitat de València in 2001. Then, it was refurbished by Francisco José Rozas Fuster and was finally inaugurated in 2007.

The Lopez Piñero Institute for the History of Science and Medicine and a series of important scientific exhibitions are located in the building.

Due to its importance, the asset has been included in the Index of Protected Assets and Spaces of the General Plan of Valencia as a Relevant Local Asset (BLR) in the category of Monument of Local Interest.
