'Canto jo i la muntanya balla', by Irene Solà

The work 'Canto jo i la muntanya balla' (Anagrama, 2019) by Irene Solà has won the European Union Literature Prize 2020, an annual initiative that seeks recognition for the best emerging authors in Europe. Irene Solà won the prize, with 'Temporada de avispas' (Tusquets) by Elisa Ferrer, 'Serem Atlàntida' (Periscopi) by Joan Benesiu, and 'Noche y Océano' (Seix Barral) by Raquel Taranilla, as finalists. 'Canto jo i la muntanya balla' tells a series of stories about the inhabitants of an area of the Pyrenees, near the border between Spain and France, with mythical creatures, war and wild fauna.
