Material resources
Cutting-edge room such as the “Postgraduate Studies Room” and the “Seminar Room” are used for the training activities, both with multimedia projection systems, interactive blackboards and videoconference; traditional rooms; computers rooms and laboratories. They have the following characteristics:
The Postgraduate Studies Room is located in the ground floor of the department building, it has capacity for 45 persons, with amenities such as comfortable armchairs to take notes, stand for the professor, brightness control, air conditioning, etc. It has projection and audition systems through computer and video projector, with access to either by cable or by Wi-Fi System, professional videoconference system.
The seminar room is contiguous to the other and has capacity for 32 persons. It is endowed with moveable desks for a conventional room provision or group work or seminar. It is endowed with brightness control air air-conditioning, etc. It has projection and audition systems through computer and video projector, with access to either by cable or by Wi-Fi System, professional videoconference system.
The classrooms of the aulario G.H of the Faculty of Geography and History for 44 persons, which are provided with fixed desks, have brightness control and air conditioning, etc., and projection and audition systems through computer, with internet access through cable networks or through Wi-Fi system.
“Art Workshop Labs”, where art techniques are explored and Analysis and Diagnosis of Art Works Lab”, devoted to the analysis, conservation and restoration of art work, and recently endowed with cutting-edge optical instrumentation through teaching labs calls and Excellence Campuses.
The centre also has an Events Hall and “Salón de Grados”, which are used for teaching labs and other commentary activities of the post degree in History of Art, as inaugural event, congresses, conferences, etc. ; and there are four computer rooms. With the exception of the Art Workshop, the access to all the above mentioned is free from architectural barriers
On the other hand, the Faculty has wireless Wi-Fi in all the area, as well as areas devoted to students’ work and study, such as in the room with capacity for 100 people and Internet access for laptops, which is located in the first floor. Moreover, there are three more work rooms with capacity for 16 places each and with network connection and mobile classroom with 16 laptops. These rooms can be grouped to carry out small seminars and collective tutorials, or they can be used by students to organise their team works. The centre also has a free access computer room. All this group of areas is located in the first floor of the centre and have barrier-free access.
The programme offer the possibility of undertaking work placement in several centres and institutions with training activities programme and adequacy of material means and services available.
Finally, students have e-mail services, virtual secretary, virtual disc, blogs, forums..., and virtual classroom. In fact, all doctoral students are integrated into a community of Virtual Classroom, what makes their community and integration as a group easier.

Information resources
The library of Humanities, the most related to the field of knowledge of Art History is next to the aforementioned  facilities, and some of the sessions related to information resources on Internet are carried out in its training room. The archives are noted, and the Interlibrary Loans Service allows users to have a fast access archives not available.  The Information Resources Service must also be highlighted, which provides a great service, about Official Newspapers, libraries catalogues, dictionaries and encyclopaedias, e-books, e-magazine, e-newspapers of the UV through the Open Journal System, institutional archive RODERIC, doctoral theses, portals and journals assessment, etc. We want to highlight among the data base the Department of Art History has contracted highly specific internationals, such as Bibliography History of Art (BHA) and International Bibliography of Art (IBA), which are added to those available in the section of Humanities. The access to all these services can be carried out through students from any place through Wi-Fi connection.
The UV, coordinator of the programme, has centralised services that collaborate in the development of the Doctoral Programme. The OPAL’s mission is to help UV students and graduates enter the world of work and improve their career opportunities. The OPAL will be responsible for, among other tasks, coordinating the monitoring of graduates, giving advice, training, informing about professional opportunities and starts-ups.
