The Doctoral Studies in Human and Animal Parasitology aims to provide advanced training for research techniques and leads to obtaining the official qualification of Doctor, which is valid throughout the national territory, with full academic effects and is the qualification of most academic relevance within our educational system. The Programme allows students to acquire the methodology of scientific research and to study in depth various subjects in the field of Parasitology.

The academic relevance is guaranteed by the origin of the doctoral programme of the University of Valencia with the quality award “Parasitologia Humana I Animal” (Human and Animal Parasitology), Resolution 28 May 2003, of the General Directorate of Universities in doctoral programmes by non-profit public and private universities (BOE, 12 June, 2003).

The Doctoral Programme in Human and Animal Parasitology has two periods: of training and research:

The period of training consists in the Master’s Degree in Tropical Parasitic Diseases. This qualification has been subject to verification by ANECA (National Agency for Quality Assessment and Certification). The training period, including the access and admission to the same is responsibility of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Valencia. The body responsible for the admission of students is the Academic Coordinating Committee (CCA).
