The Doctoral Programme in Languages, literatures, cultures and its applications comes from the combination of several programmes that co-exist at the moment:

• Languages and Literatures, of the UV.
• Languages and Literatures and Culture and Applications to the Valencian context, of the UV.
• Translation and society of knowledge, of the UV.
• Languages and Technology, programme with a Quality Award in 2007 at the UPV-MCD2007-00165.
