Doctoral Programme in Biomedicine and Biotechnology

 

a)Entry without bridging courses:

1) The students who have completed the Master’s degrees in “Biotechnology of Assisted Human Reproduction”, “Research in Molecular, Cellular and Genetic Biology”, in “ Molecular Approaches in Health Sciences” or in “Bioinformatics” of the University of Valencia, can be admitted without additional bridging courses.

The students who have completed Official Master’s Degrees in an Spanish or foreign university, of the same level and in the area of knowledge of Life Molecular Sciences and whose Master’s Degree Final Project confer research competences, and which has been prepared in a topic equivalent to some of the research lines of the Doctoral Programme can be also admitted in the conditions mentioned above.


2) The students who hold a DEA qualifcation (Diploma d’estudis avançats / Tertiary education degree) of the doctoral studies previously developed by the Departments of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Genetics and Microbiology and Ecology of the University of
Valencia can also be admitted without additional bridging courses.


b) Entry with bridging courses.


The students who have completed a Master’s Degree or who have completed the training period of a doctoral programme (by any of the current legal mechanisms) of the same level in a knowledge area related to the Programme (Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering,...) but which don’t focus on the molecular aspects of Life Sciences, as well as the students who enter to the doctoral programme with an Undergraduate Degree whose duration is at least of 300 credits, unless the curriculum of the corresponding Undergraduate Degree includes research training credits, equivalent to the research credits of the Master’s studies must pass the following subjects of the Master’s Degree in Molecular, Cellular and Genetic Biology: Bioinformatics (3 ECTS), Introduction to Research (4,5 ECTS), Experimentation Models (3 ECTS), Analysis and Quantification Techniques (4,5 ECTS) and Omics Techniques (3 ECTS).
