Aims: The aim of the doctoral programme is for students to be able to transform the research results in transferable systems to research laboratories or to industrial and business sectors by using Sustainable Chemistry tools. Also, to be able to lead projects to replace pollutant production processes or to design new and more environmentally friendly processes, as well as to lead projects to integrate in one production process one or several tools of Sustainable Chemistry. And, finally, to acquire skills to structure and write the outcomes in the form of articles for conferences and scientific magazines, and to elaborate viable R&D&I projects.

Description: The Doctoral Programme makes possible to students the acquisition of scientific research methodology and the deepening in knowledge of different topics in the field of Sustainable Chemistry. The association between chemistry and disasters or environmental risks is a constant feature in all the modern societies. This is paradoxical since, probably, there is no other science that has contibuted more, simultaneously, to preserve the environment and the well-being of mankind. In this context, the different actors involved in the design, production, marketing and use of chemical products (firms and business representatives, technical staff, researchers, legislators, consumers...) have acquired a clear awareness about the need of linking the activities in this field with the preservation of the environment and the natural resources, that is, with a sustainable development.
