Selection criteria
ADDITIONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: DETAILED PRESENTATION OF THE ACADEMIC RECORD AND CURRICULUM VITAE AND TWO COVER LETTERS SIGNED BY PROFESSORS OF THEIR PREVIOUS QUALIFICATIONS
ADDITIONAL ADMISSION CRITERIA
OVER A MAXIMUM OF 100 POINTS, AT LEAST TWO MUST HAVE 70 TO BE ADMITTED.
MASTER IN ECONOMICS AND FINANCE, WITH HIGH ANALYTICAL COMPONENT, VALUATION OF THE MASTER UP TO 70 POINTS ENGLISH KNOWLEDGE (equivalent to B1 LEVEL), UP TO 20 POINTS KNOWLEDGE OF SOME PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE OR STATISTICAL SOFTWARE USE (type C+, matlab, stata, spss, S-plus, ¿) UP TO 10
Assessment criteria of candidates merits:
THE MENTIONED CRITERIA ARE ONLY USED AS MERITS TO BE VALUED WHITHIN THE RECOMMENDED PROFILE. THE ADMISSION AND SELECTION CRITERIA ARE LAID DOWN IN THE COLLABORATION AGREEMENT SIGNED IN MAY 2013, ARTICLE. 9 (ATTACHED). THE INTER-UNIVERSITY ACADEMIC COMITTEE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7.1 OF R.D. 99/2011, WILL ESTABLISH THE ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND CRITERIA TO THOSE PLANNED IN SECTION 6 OF THE MENTIONED ROYAL DECREE.
RECOMMENDED ENTRY PROFILE:
MASTER IN ECONOMICS AND FINANCE, WITH HIGH ANALYTICAL COMPONENT, VALUATION OF THE MASTER UP TO 70 POINTS ENGLISH KNOWLEDGE (equivalent to B1 LEVEL), UP TO 20 POINTS It will be considered merit to have carried out the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
It will be considered merit to be accredited in English knowledge (it is recommended a close punctuation to 550 in TOEFL, of A level in Cambridge First Certificate, or 6 level in IELTS of British Council).
KNOWLEDGE IN ANY PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE OR STATISTICAL SOFTWARE USE (type C+, matlab, stata, spss, S-plus, ¿) UP TO 10
Academic criteria, presentation of the academic transcript and curriculum vitae is indispensable.
Two cover letters signed by two professors of their respective Degrees, Bachelor or previous qualifications or of any other academic programme.
A project presentation of research in Quantitative Finance and Economics will be valued.
THE ADMISSION MAY BE CONDITIONED TO THE DETERMINED PROGRAMME TO THE ACCOMPLISHMENT IN TOPICS OR SUBJECTS IN THE MASTER Quantitative Banking and Finance “and/or of the Master in Economics.
