This call has two categories: STARTUP, in which companies with a maximum age of three years can participate; and JUNIRO, in which people with an innovative and commercially viable initiative can participate. In both categories, at least one of the founders of the company or of the innovation project must be a graduate, student or linked to the Universitat de València.

The call consists of two phases. In a first phase, the Universitat de València selects four candidates, two per modality, who then have to compete in a second phase with all the candidates presented by the five Valencian public universities. The two selected application will be awarded financial prizes. For the STARTUP category, two prizes of 1,500 euros each will be awarded, while for the JUNIOR category, two prizes of 750 euros each will be awarded.

In the second phase, each candidate has to publicly present their project and business activity before a selection committee appointed by the Generalitat Valenciana. The prizes are awarded at an official ceremony, organised by the Regional Department of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labour, which must take place within three months of the resolution of the competition.

In this second phase, the STARTUP category consists of three prizes of 9,000 euros, 5,000 euros and 3,000 euros for which the two candidatures presented by the Universitat de València will be eligible. In the JUNIOR category, two prizes of 1,000 euros each will be awarded.
