On Monday, 5th February it will begin the European Banking Law course of the Universitat de València, with the financial support of the Erasmus+Programme of the European Union. The changes on the banking system, with particular attention to the rules of the EU, will be subject to explanation and reflection by the renowned specialists in a course conducted by Juan Antonio Ureña Salcedo, Professor of Administrative Law.

The course is divided in lessons and seminars. The lessons can only be attended by those inscribed in the course and the seminars are free entry until complete capacity. The seminars of the Law Faculty will be given by Jaime Casas Poy, Territorial Director of Bankia in Valencia and Castellón; María Guinot Barona, State’s Attorney and ex-chief of the legal services at the SAREB; representatives of the Valencian Institute of Finances and other professors of these and other universities. They will address issues like the transparency, the access and interchange of banking information (seminar announced for February 6th), the protection of the banking users, the administrative discretionarily in the banking regulation or the penal consequences of baking fraud, among other issues of actuality and transcendence.

In the framework of this course, it will take place an international meeting on October 2018 under the title “El Derecho bancario de la Unión Europea y el sistema valenciano de finanzas” (Baking Law in the European Union and the Valencian financing system).
