DATA, INTELLIGENCE, HEALTH, INDUSTRY, BUSINESS... A WINNING COCKTAIL

This workshop proposes a circuit of examples that use data processing and artificial intelligence in different fields of application. Students will be able to interact with these practical cases and learn about the fundamentals behind the data science techniques used.

STAT WARS AND THE DATA EMPIRE

The project StatWars: L'Imperi de les Dades  is part of the national network of Biostatistics. In this workshop we will take an intergalactic journey through the empire of data. What are they? Where and how are they obtained? What are they used for? We will see how much data we give away every day on the Internet and, above all, on social networks. We will learn how the information is deciphered and exploited after these data, using statistics and its language: probability.

WITH DADA ON OUR HEELS: DATABASES AND INFORMATION ANALYSIS

This workshop provides an overview of what databases are, how they are used to store information in an organised way, and what their analysis capabilities are to elaborate and extract information from simple data, learning by means of a game of cards.

PARTICIPANTS: Students of technology and science in the first and second years of the Bachillerato and Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior.

COORDINATORS: Ángel Robles and Julio Martos

DATE OF ENROLMENT: From 1 to 14 November 2023.

DATE AND DATE OF COMPLETION: Week of 15 to 19 January 2024. Each group will come on a day that will be assigned by the organisation.
