During the last Congress of the International Association of Applied Psychology, ICAP, (Montreal, June 26-30, 2018), IDOCAL's research on service organizations for people with intellectual disabilities was present. Within the Symposium entitled "Humanitarian Work Psychology: Providing Productive Work for People with Disabilities that Enhance the Organization", Vicente Martínez-Tur presented a paper on the role of communication between professionals and family members in stimulating positive attitudes towards self-determination. people with intellectual disabilities. The other authors of the work were: Yolanda Estreder, Carolina Moliner, Esther Gracia, Luminiţa Pătraş and Ana Zornoza.
The research is part of projects funded by the State Research Agency (PSI2013-48509-P / PSI2016-78158-R) and FEDER. The symposium was also attended by: Walter Reichman, Org Vitality; Susanne M.
