The book "Job placement itineraries and determinants of employability: university education versus environment", directed by Francisco Pérez and written by Joaquín Aldás, José María Peiró, Lorenzo Serrano, Belén Miravalles, Ángel Soler and Irene Zaera, has been published.

The book analyzes the contribution of universities to employability, distinguishing the factors that can be controlled by the institutions themselves and those of their economic and labor environment. The degree course is the variable that most influences the probability of having employment of university students and marks up to 50 points of difference between some studies and others. In addition to the degree, there are other factors related to training and, therefore, depend on the universities, which allow increasing employability by 26.7 percentage points. Other conditions that also indicate the probability of finding a job are the autonomous community of residence or personal factors, such as the age and ability of the students.
