
The fifth edition of the Linguistic Rights Chair and Carme Miquel awards 2023 is announced in the study of the linguistic rights, and their guarantee and real materialisation in the Bachelor's Final Project, Master’s Degree Final Project and Doctoral Theses.
To participate, the projects and thesis have to have their attention centred in the theoretical foundations, the strategies or measures for the materialisation and real guarantee of the linguistic rights from the following themes: human linguistic rights, linguistic equality, multilingualism, linguistic public policies, sociolinguistic, linguistic minorities, legal and administrative language, and psychology of the language. Are excluded of the competition the projects about language, literature, linguistic and general didactics of the languages and those that refer in a marginal way to the theoretical foundations and to the strategies for the materialisation and the real guarantee of the linguistic rights.
Carme Miquel Awards
These awards are addressed toBachelor's Final Project and Master’s Degree Final Project passed in any Spanish public university.
Students of any official degree in the Spanish public universities that have passed a Bachelor’s Final Project or Master’s Degree Final Project in any of the official languages in the autonomous communities of the state or in English, in the course 2022-2023, between 1 October, 2022 and 30 September, 2023 can participate.
The applications can be presented until the 20 October, 2023.
The award to the best Master’s Degree Final Project is awarded with 1,000 euros, and for the best Bachelor’s Final Project corresponds 500 euros.
Linguistic Rights Chair
Students of any official degree in the Spanish public universities that have passed a Doctoral Thesis with the cum laude mention in any official language of the autonomous communities of the country or in English, in the course 2022-2023, between 1 October, 2022 and 30 September, 2023.
The applications can be presented from the date of publication of the call in the Official Journal of the Valencian Government (DOGV) until 20 October 2023.
The award to the best Doctoral Thesis is awarded with 3,000 euros.
