Universitat de València Chair of Youth starts its project Skills Maps, a European initiative by Erasmus+ KA220-YOU aiming for innovation and cooperation in worklines regarding young people.
The project is coordinated with UV Chair of Youth and has the international high level consortium by Anhalt-Bitterfeld District Administration (superlocal government of the Federate State of Saxony-Anhalt), Daugavpils City Council (Latvia second city) and AE2O Matosinhos, pioneer second opportunity school and reference in Portugal.
For València, the project will run in collaboration with the City Councils of Aldaia, Montserrat and La Nucia, as well as the Safor Mancommunity, strengthening the connection between the local and European area.
SKILLS MAPS aims to create five skill maps associated with five different professional profiles of worklines with young people. These maps allow to address three current great challenges of Europe: digital society impact, climate change and the Europe inclusive society crisis.
To that end, the project uses an innovative methodology based on modular structures of microskills, helping flexible education and training, and adapted to different professional contexts.
The project has already made its first steps with the kick-off meeting in Köthen (Germany), where the starting group of the consortium reunited. Within this frame, the first educative session have already taken place, aimed for social workers in educative centred in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district.
With SKILL MAPS, UV Chair of Youth strengthens its commitment with European cooperation, educative innovation and support to professionals working daily with adolescents and young people in more and more complex contexts.
