Opening ceremony of the Chair 'Excellence and Development in Entrepreneurship: from Student to Entrepreneur'

The University of Valencia and the Grupo Maicerías Españolas-Arroz DACSA (Spanish rice and maize group) have presented this month the Chair ‘Excellence and Development in Entrepreneurship: from Student to Entrepreneur’, an initiative conceived as a meeting point for enterprising students of the University, who can come to assess the possibilities of developing their idea and start their business.

 

The opening ceremony, held at the headquarters of the Chair, at the Faculty of Economics (first floor, office 1P05A), was attended by the Vice-Principal for Institutional Relations and Communication, Silvia Barona; representatives of the sponsoring company, Ricardo and Araceli Ciscar, the dean of the Faculty of Economics, Vicent Soler; the director of the IUDESCOOP Institute, Joan Ramón Sanchis, and the director of the Chair, Domingo Ribeiro. It was also attended by authorities of the Directorate General of Entrepreneurs of the Generalitat Valenciana (Valencian government), professors, researchers, students and the general public.

One the actions foreseen in the short term is the presentation of the Chair in the three campuses of the University of Valencia during the months of May and June. This presentation will cover the annual contest of potential business viability plans created by students from the three campuses. The plans and projects will be presented with participation of experts in this area.
