The Languages Service administers CELI tests (Certificati di Lingua Italiana) at all levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 i C2). CELI is a certificate attesting the level of competence and command of Italian granted by the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, the most prestigious institution when it comes to Italian teaching.

Who can register for the test
Anyone over 16 years of age.
Price
The registration fee is €100 for students of the University of Valencia and €120 for the rest of candidates, and it entitles to one attempt at one level. Nevertheless, if you pass either the oral or the written paper, your mark will be kept for a year. During that time, you can register to retake the failed paper getting a 30% off, and you will only need to pass this paper to obtain the certificate.
University staff can ask for official language tests grants.
Recognition
CELI certificates are fully recognised by the University of Valencia, by the Italian Ministry of Education and also by private companies, chambers of commerce and public and private educational systems around the world. They certify an adequate knowledge of Italian for professional or academic activity in Spain and around the world at the required level.
Registration
Send an e-mail to the Languages Service (llengues@uv.es) to request a payment slip for the registration in CELI tests. Please, include your full name and identity document number. Then, you will get a payment slip in PDF format in your name. Once you pay the fee, please submit the following documents by e-mail:
- Proof of payment
- Completed registration form
- ID
2024 calendar, registration period and levels
There are different exam dates throughout the year with limited places available. The University of Valencia administers some of them in 2024:

These are the dates for the writing tests. The speaking tests may not coincide on the same day and may be held on a date closely after. Before the exams, candidates will receive an email with all the information about the time and location.

Results and certificates
Check the results on the CVCL website. Certificates will be sent to successful candidates to their postal address. If you need a temporary certificate, please contact the Università per Stranieri di Perugia (unicert@unistrapg.cvcl.it).
