Databases

  • MyNews: is a tool basic of journalistic documentation, a database of press for professional communication and documentation. It stores editions of the main Spanish newspapers and it coverages more than 200 newspapers and 800 online sources and more than 120 million items since 1996 in Spanish, Catalan, Basque and Galician.
  • Baratz: news published in general Spanish newspapers and magazines from 1981 to 2002, on topic related to the economy, national and internationa politics and social and occupational aspects.
  • Factiva: it offers full-text social and business-related publications, international newspapers, news agencies, company reports and link to other online services. You can find information in the most prestigious national and international sources and services (ABC, Alimarket, El País, La Vanguardia, Expansión, Reuters, Cinco Días, etc.).
  • ProQuest Newsstand: over 1,200 full-text international newspapers, including The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Thr Chicago Tribune, The Globe & Mail and The Daily Telegraph.
  • Infolibre: Spanish digital newspaper selected notícies searchable.

  • Alohacriticón: web of film, music and literature. Information about releases, new DVD, movie reviews, biographies of actors and actresses current and classic, etc.
  • Cine para leer: Film reviews and information collected since 1972.
  • Noticine: cinema news portal. Sections Latin America, Hollywood, International, Festivals, Industry, etc.

Film archives and film collections

  • European Film Gateway: 2008-2011 project promoted by the European Committee, which will provide access to  790,000 digital objects related to the European cinema, including films, photographs, posters, drawings, sound materials and texts.
  • Lost films: website directed to document film titles which have been considered as lost, with an archive of more tan 3,500 films.
  • Federación Internacional de Archivos Fílmicos (FIAF): it is the most important cinema archives association of the world, and its main aim is to preserve and show the films.
  • CulturArts - IVAC : IVAC webpage which offers information about the list of programmes of the Film Library, publications, restoration and preservation of materials, databases (series, financed films, Archives journal…), library, video library, etc.
  • Filmoteca Española: Spanish Film Library website, with sections of film collections, activities of the Film library, list of programmes of the Cine Doré, offered services, library catalogue, etc.
  • NO-DO: open audiovisual archive of the Noticiario Documental (Documentary Newsreel) (1943-1981) posted on the Internet by RTVE and the Spanish Film Library.
  • Asociación de Filmotecas Europeas (Association des Cinémathèques Européennes): with 39 member countries, it offers almost a million of film titles of all nationalities. It can be linked to the websites of the integral film libraries and other film archives.
  • EuroVoD: is a network of independent European Video on Demand platforms specialising in art-house films and independent cinema.
