Specialised Databases    These are the databases accessible from the website of the library where you can find information on Education:

  • Guides to Secondary Education (Spain): there are online lesson plans for secondary teachins (ESO ans FP.
  • ERIC: is the most important database that exists in education. It offers bibliographic references and summaries of articles of journals, monographs, theses and reports related to different aspects of education.
  • Educalex: [user universi030 passwd uni027605ver]: Spanish databases that allow the access to the main legislation of the educational field, both national and regional databases. It provides access to a wide range of legal texts and collective agreements, and to sentences pronounced by different courts which form the legal doctrine, as well as other information like secondments, grants and calls, etc.

  • Educational links in Spanish: compiled by Francisco Aliaga, from the department of Research Methods and Educational Diagnosis.
  • REDINED: Red Estatal de Bases de Datos de Información Educativa: resources about researches, innovations, Latin American resources and journals on education, with links to the full text if available.
  • Educaguía: Internet educational resources, for students, professors, parents and education professionals. It offers educational videos, virtual classroom, social network, newsletter, and programming, etc.
  • Educared: programme sponsored by Telefónica Foundation and organisations from the educational world, which aim to promote the use of Internet in education. It offers resources and educational software, news, and information about training, awards, and contests, and much more resources.
  • Orientared: website dedicated to educational psychology and educational guidance. The resources are organised in different sections: tutoring, attention to diversity and academic and professional guidance, educational legislation, training of the career adviser, educational psychology evaluation, etc.
  • Biblioteca Escolar Digital: teaching tool for teachers, students, parents, educators and researchers of the education field by the Germán Sánchez Ruipérez Foundation. Resources for Pre-primary, Primary and Secondary Education.
  • Mestre a casa: educational website created by the Valencian Department for Education of the Valencian Government for promoting the use of new technologies in the Valencian non-university educational system. It offers resources for Pre-primary, Primary and Secondary education, college and ciclos formativos (vocational training).
  • RELPE: Red Latinoamericana de Portales Educativos: network of Latin American websites of education in which Spain participates, it aims to be a community for sharing and collaboration among the people in charge of educational policies of different countries.
  • Eduso.net: el portal de la educación social: service of the groups of community workers which aims to be a place for: meeting, dialogue, support, promotion, revitalization and reflection of people and organisations linked to Social Education. It offers news of interest, calls related to training, employment, social and cultural action.
  • European Comission- Education &Training: website with different information related to training and learning in the European area.
  • Eurydice: website of information about systems and educational policies in Europe, driven by the European Commission.
  • UNESCO: education section.
  • Internet Public Library - Education: IPL classified links. Most of the resources are in English.

  • English Pronunication Online: a commented classified compilation of a wide range of sites about pronunciation, listening and speaking skills. You can find here more than 100 direct links to free web pages that we consider can be of great help to researches, teachers and students alike.

  • Generalitat Valenciana- Conselleria d’Educació (Valencian Government-Valencian Department for Education).
  • Instituto de tecnologías educativas y formación del profesorado (Educational technologies Institute): Ministry of Education Unit created for promoting the integration of ICT in the non-university stages of education.
  • RosaSensat.org: Rosa Sensat Teachers Association, association of teachers united by the common interest of improving education. It is a movement for pedagogical reform.
  • IRES: Investigación y renovación escolar: network composed of teaching staff and groups of teachers of all educational levels: -pre-primary, primary, secondary,, university, adults, special education, etc. –which has as a referent the Teaching Model of School Research.
  • Sociedad Española de Pedagogía:  scientific and non-profit professional organisation open to all those people and organisations that are interested in reflecting about education and in improving its quality.
  • Asociación Interuniversitaria de Investigación pedagógica (AIDIPE): association interested in the field of educational research, primarily in the area of research methods, measurement and assessment, pedagogy of difference, etc. EERA member.
  • European Educational Research Association (EERA): association founded for facilitating the collaboration between researchers of European education, for promoting communication among them and with international governmental organisations, and for disseminating the knowledge of current educational research.
  • Asociación mundial de Educadores Infantiles (AMEI-WAECE): non-profit organisation formed as a movement for educational reform of pre-primary education.
  • European Agency for Development in Special Needs Education: independent and autonomous organisation established in member countries (including Spain) with the objective of acting as a platform for collaboration in the field of education for students with special educational needs.
  • eTwinning: community for schools in Europe. The teachers from all participating countries can register and use the tools of the eTwinning website (portal and desktop) for meeting, know each other virtually, exchange ideas and practices, forming groups, learn together in the teaching meetings and participating in the projects of the website.
  • European Schoolnet (EUN): international organisation of more of twenty European Ministries of Education that develops learning systems for schools, teachers and students across Europe. The EUN provides new perspectives about the use of Information and Communication Technologies in Europe for the people in charge of policy making and professionals of education.
