Open access journals

To browse more journals or full-text articles, you can use the search engine Recolecta. You can also use Dialnet, which offers the table of contents of journals and, in some cases, full texts.

Encyclopedias and dictionaries

  • Codicologia: collection of French terms related to manuscripts, with their English, Italian and Spanish equivalents.
  • ODLIS Online Dictionary for Library and Information Science: English dictionary created by Joan M. Reitz, librarian and teacher at Western Connecticut State University, specializing in librarianship and information science, editing, printing, bookbinding, book history, telecommunication and information technology. Includes more than 4000 terms, definitions and cross references.

  • E-lis: E-prints in Library and Information Science: open access archive for technical and scientific documents, published or unpublished, on library science, documentation and technology and related areas.
  • Recbib: guide with information about work, public examinations, courses, articles and news in the field of Library and Documentation Science. [Not updating from April 2017]
  • Internet Public Library: web portal created by American librarians that collects online academic resources, classified by subject. It contains a section about libraries.
  • SINC: news portal
  • El libro de los libros: 1160 professional books free downloading for librarians compiled by Julio Alonso Arévalo (Librarian of the School of Translation at the University of Salamanca).
  • Current Cites: international web of monthly bibliography of articles, monographs and electronic documents. Since 1990.
